I am sailing through the mighty sea of this world
In the ship of faith.
I will reach the eternal home that awaits me
And rest there with my Lord.

I will journey on, looking to the cross;
I will fight for Jesus;
I will give my life for my Savior
Until my final breath.

Time is passing and the days are going by;
The coming of the Lord is drawing near.
Strengthen me by Your Spirit
To praise and glorify Your mighty name.

Even if I must eat the bread of hardship,
Even if I must drink the tears of suffering,
Even if my body grows weak from pain,
Even if everything turns against me,

The saints who have rejected the world,
The angels who shine with pure light,
And my beloved friends who gave their lives as martyrs
Will welcome me into that glorious gathering.

I will sing the song of redemption,
Praise and worship my Savior Jesus.
I will rejoice even in suffering,
For this blessed inheritance belongs
To God's humble children.
